RNAWRE

RNAWRE: Database of RNA Modification Writers, Readers, and Erasers

RNAWRE compiles manually curated data on 2,045 RNA modification effectors, including writers, readers, and erasers associated with six RNA modification types: Cap, m1A, m6A, m5C, ψ (pseudouridine), and Poly A.

Key Features:

  • Curated Effector Repository: Contains 2,045 experimentally supported writers, readers, and erasers linked to six major RNA modification types.
  • BLAST Search: Enables sequence similarity searches to identify potential RNA modification effectors across species.

Scientific Applications:

  • RNA Modification Research: Supports analysis of RNA modification mechanisms in gene expression regulation, cellular differentiation, disease progression, and evolutionary studies.

Methodology:

Effectors were manually curated from published literature and classified by modification type (Cap, m1A, m6A, m5C, ψ, Poly A) and functional role (writer, reader, eraser); sequence similarity searches are implemented using BLAST for cross-species identification.
