RSVdb

RSVdb integrates transcriptome-wide dimethyl sulfate (DMS) reactivity data to support RNA structure analysis and DMS-guided secondary structure prediction across multiple species.

Key Features:

  • Large-Scale DMS Reactivity Dataset: Contains DMS reactivity profiles for 626,225 RNAs from 178 samples across eight species, enabling cross-species transcriptome-level comparisons.
  • DMS-Constrained Structure Prediction: Performs in silico RNA secondary structure prediction with optional DMS reactivity restraints under diverse experimental conditions.

Scientific Applications:

  • Transcriptome-Wide RNA Structure Analysis: Supports investigation of RNA structural regulation and its impact on gene expression and cellular processes.

Methodology:

RSVdb aggregates high-throughput DMS probing data, applies quality control to sequencing datasets, and integrates DMS reactivity constraints into RNA secondary structure prediction algorithms to model transcriptome-scale RNA structures.
