RWRtoolkit
RWRtoolkit enables the efficient exploration of large and highly complex biological networks generated from custom experimental data and/or from publicly available datasets, and is species agnostic.
Key Features:
- Multiplex network generation: Generates multiplex networks from custom experimental data and/or publicly available datasets.
- Topological distance calculation: Finds topological distances between biological entities within networks.
- Relationship determination: Determines relationships within sets of interest and searches for topological context around sets of interest.
- Statistical evaluation: Statistically evaluates the strength of relationships within and between sets.
- High-throughput analysis: Supports parallelization on high-performance cluster systems for permutation testing.
Scientific Applications:
- Multi-omic network analysis: Analyzes large and highly complex biological networks across any species using multi-omic data.
- Topological context search: Identifies topological context around sets of biological entities of interest.
- Relationship strength assessment: Evaluates statistical significance of relationships within and between sets of biological entities.
Methodology:
RWRtoolkit uses random walks on multiplex networks.
