SAPESUCA
SAPESUCA quantifies peritoneal surface area (PSA) to standardize measurement of resected and remaining peritoneal surface during cytoreductive surgery (CRS) combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for patients with peritoneal metastasized colorectal cancer.

- Standardization: Provides a standardized approach to quantify resected and remaining peritoneal surface area post-CRS.
- Clinical data integration: Incorporates patient-specific body surface area (BSA) and maps PSA to the 13 regions defined by the Peritoneal Cancer Index (PCI).

- Quantification of peritoneal surface area: Calculates cohort-level PSA metrics, reporting median pre-CRS PSA of 18,613 cm² and median post-CRS PSA of 13,681 cm² in the validation cohort.
- Correlation with clinical outcomes: Identifies significant correlations between peritonectomy extent and PCI score and between peritonectomy extent and postoperative morbidity.
- Chemotherapeutic dose adjustment: Demonstrates simulated oxaliplatin doses before and after CRS (558 mg/m² vs. 409 mg/m²) to inform dose adjustments based on remaining PSA.
