SAROTUP

SAROTUP identifies and filters target-unrelated peptides to improve the accuracy of mimotope-based epitope mapping.

Key Features:

  • Detection of target-unrelated peptides: Scans peptide sequences to identify peptides likely unrelated to the intended target.
  • Reporting: Produces reports that list candidate target-unrelated peptides found in mimotope datasets.
  • Exclusion/filtration: Flags or excludes identified target-unrelated peptides from mimotope datasets to refine downstream analyses.
  • Compatibility with display-derived data: Operates on peptide sequences derived from random peptide libraries screened by phage display and other surface display technologies.

Scientific Applications:

  • Epitope mapping: Refines mimotope datasets to increase the reliability of epitope mapping results.
  • Epitope prediction: Improves input quality for epitope prediction methods by removing non-specific binders.
  • Diagnostics: Enhances identification of diagnostic peptide markers by filtering target-unrelated peptides.
  • Therapeutics and vaccine development: Supports discovery and validation of peptide leads for therapeutics and vaccines by reducing false-positive mimotopes.

Methodology:

Scans peptide sequences from random peptide libraries (phage display and other surface display technologies), reports candidate target-unrelated peptides, and flags or excludes them from mimotope datasets.
