SeptiSearch aggregates gene sets and associated metadata from transcriptomics studies to support systems-level analyses of sepsis and the identification of diagnostic gene signatures.

  • Compendium of Gene Sets: A curated collection of 103 unique gene sets from 74 transcriptomics studies related to acute infection, sepsis, and severe sepsis, encompassing 20,899 unique genes identified via differential expression analyses.
  • Extensive Metadata Integration: Each gene set is annotated with study-level metadata including patient group comparisons, sample collection time points, tissue types, and other study parameters.
  • Identification of Molecular Mechanisms: Frequently described genes are highlighted alongside associated molecular mechanisms such as neutrophil degranulation, second messenger molecule generation, IL-4 and -13 signaling, and IL-10 signaling.
