SeqCode Registry

The SeqCode Registry is a resource for naming uncultivated prokaryotes based on genome sequences. It allows for the creation of permanent names for organisms that cannot be deposited in culture collections and competes with the International Code of Nomenclature of Prokaryotes (ICNP).
