shinyMBA
shinyMBA monitors quality-control metrics from Luminex multiplex bead-based assays by evaluating bead counts, median fluorescence intensity (MFI), and assay controls across plate wells to support serosurveillance and population-immunity analyses.
Key Features:
- Comprehensive QC Assessment: Monitors bead counts and median fluorescence intensity (MFI) for each antigen in plate wells and evaluates performance of assay controls on each plate.
- Data Integration and Analysis: Merges outputs from multiple assay plates to assess bead count, MFI, and control performance across all antigen targets.
- Statistical Process Control Charts: Employs statistical process control charts to identify plates that fail QC standards and minimize the risk of user error.
Scientific Applications:
- Population immunity evaluations: Enables QC across multiple antigens to support analyses of population-level immune responses.
- Large-scale serosurveillance: Improves QC speed and accuracy for studies using multiplexed antigens in large cohorts.
- Luminex serosurveillance workflows: Enhances quality control of immunological data generated with Luminex platforms.
Methodology:
Demonstrated using data from synthetic xPONENT files containing three multiplex antigens and real-world population serosurveillance datasets evaluating 20 multiplexed antigens in sample cohorts of 1,200–3,871.
