SPDB

SPDB provides a curated genome repository and bioinformatics pipeline for identifying swine pathogens from targeted 16S rRNA gene sequencing and metagenomic NGS data to support genomic diagnosis and surveillance of swine diseases.

Key Features:

  • Comprehensive Genome Repository: Contains 26,148 genomes encompassing swine, swine pathogens, and phylogenetically related species.
  • Bioinformatics Analysis Pipeline: Implements a pipeline tailored to identify 4,403 swine pathogens and related species in clinical samples.
  • NGS-based Pathogen Detection: Supports analysis of targeted 16S rRNA gene sequencing and metagenomic NGS datasets for pathogen identification.

Scientific Applications:

  • Disease Diagnosis: Enables NGS-based identification of pathogenic agents in clinical swine samples to inform diagnostic decisions.
  • Research Support: Facilitates genomic and epidemiological studies of swine pathogens using the genome collection and analysis pipeline.

Methodology:

Analyzes targeted 16S rRNA gene sequencing and metagenomic NGS data with a bioinformatics pipeline to identify swine pathogens.
