SPICA
SPICA provides curated, cell type–specific reference atlases and integrates published single-cell RNA sequencing (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq) datasets to enable comparative analysis and contextualization of immune cell heterogeneity.
Key Features:
- Curated reference atlases: High-resolution, cell type–specific atlases describing immune cell states.
- Integration of published datasets: Incorporation of published single-cell RNA-seq datasets into the reference atlases to enhance context and comparability.
- Comparative analysis of user data: Analysis of user-provided single-cell RNA-seq data in relation to established reference atlases.
- Dataset contribution support: Acceptance of new single-cell datasets from researchers to expand and update the atlases.
Scientific Applications:
- Immune cell state annotation: Annotation of cell types and functional states in scRNA-seq datasets using reference atlases.
- Immune heterogeneity analysis: Characterization of heterogeneity and population structure among immune cells.
- Cross-study integration and comparison: Contextual comparison of published single-cell datasets within a common atlas framework.
- Immunology research and translational studies: Support for investigations into immune function, biomarker identification, and development of targeted therapies.
Methodology:
Integration of published single-cell RNA-seq datasets into curated cell type–specific reference atlases and comparative analysis of user-provided single-cell RNA-seq data against those atlases.
