St. Jude Survivorship Portal
The St. Jude Survivorship Portal enables interactive exploration, analysis, and visualization of clinical and genomic data from pediatric cancer survivors to facilitate research on long-term health outcomes and potential therapies.
Key Features:
- Large-scale data exploration: More than 1,600 phenotypic variables and 400 million genetic variants from more than 7,700 childhood cancer survivors can be explored.
- Interactive visualization: Summary statistics of variables are computed on-the-fly and visualized through interactive and customizable charts.
- Cohort customization: Survivor cohorts can be customized and/or divided into groups for comparative analysis.
- Statistical analyses: Users can perform cumulative incidence and regression analyses on the stored survivorship data.
- Access tiers: The portal provides both open- and controlled-access features.
Scientific Applications:
- Ototoxicity research: Exploration of the ototoxic effects of platinum-based chemotherapy in pediatric cancer survivors.
- Mental health and amputation association: Discovery of a novel association between mental health, age, and limb amputation in survivors.
- Cardiomyopathy genetics: Discovery of a novel haplotype in MAGI3 strongly associated with cardiomyopathy specifically in survivors of African ancestry.
- Survivorship data sharing: Fulfills data sharing needs of the survivorship research community through broad sharing of comprehensive datasets comprising demographic, diagnosis, treatment, outcome, and genomic data.
Methodology:
Summary statistics are computed on-the-fly; cohorts can be divided into groups for comparative analysis; cumulative incidence and regression analyses can be performed on stored survivorship data.
