StreptomeDB catalogs natural products produced by streptomycetes and links these compounds to phylogenetic information, spectral, biochemical and chemical vendor databases, and a genome-based natural product prediction server to support antibiotic discovery.

Methodology:

Manual curation of ~1300 PubMed-indexed articles produced annotations for ~2500 natural products; entries were linked to spectral, biochemical, and chemical vendor databases and to a genome-based natural product prediction server, and predicted pharmacokinetic and toxicity profiles were generated.
