SurvivalMeth

SurvivalMeth evaluates the prognostic impact of DNA methylation-related functional elements (DMFEs) in cancer by integrating DNA methylation profiles with clinical data.

Key Features:

  • Extensive DMFE catalog: Documents 309,465 CpG island-related elements, 104,748 transcript-related elements, 77,634 repeat elements, 1,689,653 super enhancers (SE), and 1,304,902 CTCF binding regions.
  • Cancer-specific methylation data: Integrates DNA methylation profiles from 36 cancer types.
  • Survival analysis: Performs survival analysis using combinations of single or multiple DMFEs, SEs, and clinical data.
  • Custom data upload: Accepts user-supplied DNA methylation profiles from various diseases for analysis.
  • Automated analyses: Provides DMFE methylation level assessment, correlation and clinical analysis, differential analysis, and DMFE annotation.
  • Visualization: Generates visualizations of survival analysis results.

Scientific Applications:

  • Prognostic biomarker discovery: Identifies DMFEs associated with patient survival for potential biomarker development.
  • Epigenetic regulation studies: Supports investigation of how DNA methylation at DMFEs influences gene regulation and cancer progression.
  • Therapeutic target identification: Facilitates prioritization of methylation-associated elements as candidate therapeutic targets.

Methodology:

Collecting and integrating extensive DNA methylation profile datasets; supporting predefined dataset queries and custom data uploads; and applying advanced statistical methods to correlate DMFEs with patient survival outcomes.
