Synaptome.db

Synaptome.db provides programmatic access within R/Bioconductor to a curated synaptic proteomics dataset of approximately 8,000 proteins and tools to retrieve gene annotations and model protein–protein interaction networks for studies of mammalian synapses and neurological disease.

• Comprehensive Dataset Access: Integrates and curates molecular evidence from numerous primary proteomics datasets into a unified dataset encompassing approximately 8,000 proteins identified in studies of mammalian synapses.
• Gene Information Retrieval: Retrieves gene-level information including subcellular localization, brain region specificity, Gene Ontology annotations, and disease associations.
• Protein-Protein Interaction Network Modeling: Supports construction of custom protein–protein interaction network models for specific gene sets or subcellular compartments.
