TbCAPs

TbCAPs performs co-activation pattern (CAP) analysis of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data to characterize dynamic interactions between functional brain networks and a user-defined seed region.

Key Features:

  • Analytical Pipeline: Encompasses all steps explicitly stated for CAP analysis, from data preprocessing to result interpretation of fMRI data.
  • Methodological Innovations: Introduces methodological developments that enhance disentangling functional brain networks interacting with a seed region on a frame-by-frame basis.
  • Facilitated Inspection: Enables inspection of CAPs and derived metrics of brain dynamics for assessment of interactions between brain regions.

Scientific Applications:

  • Resting-state CAP construction: Constructs CAPs from resting-state fMRI data to explore functional connectivity patterns associated with specific brain regions.
  • Behavioral prediction using rDLPFC seed: Uses the right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex as a seed region to predict behavioral measures related to continuous attentional performance.

Methodology:

Performs frame-wise analysis of fMRI data to identify and characterize co-activation patterns between functional brain networks and a predefined seed region and relates CAP-derived metrics to behavioral outcomes.
