TCS estimates gene genealogies including multifurcations and reticulations using Statistical Parsimony to represent population-level evolutionary relationships.


Key Features:

  • Network Estimation: Represents nonbifurcating genealogical relationships as networks to incorporate multifurcations and reticulations common at the population level due to recombination and ancestral haplotype persistence.
  • Statistical Parsimony: Implements the Statistical Parsimony method to infer connections among nucleotide sequences while allowing reticulations in the genealogy.
