TIMEDB
TIMEDB provides an integrated resource for tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) research by curating 39,706 expression profiles, cell-type composition profiles, and corresponding clinical information from 546 datasets across 43 cancer types and enabling inference of cell-type compositions from bulk microarray and RNA sequencing data.
Key Features:
- Extensive Data Repository: Houses manually curated expression profiles, cell-type composition profiles, and corresponding clinical information for 39,706 samples from 546 datasets across 43 cancer types.
- Integration Across Platforms: Integrates microarray and RNA sequencing data across multiple platforms to support cross-platform analyses of bulk expression profiles.
- Automatic Analysis: Performs automatic inference of cell-type composition from bulk expression profiles to assess inter- and intra-tumor heterogeneity.
- Visualization: Visualizes cell-type compositions and their clinical correlations to support data interpretation.
- Clinical Correlation: Links expression and cell-type composition profiles with clinical information to investigate associations with patient outcomes.
Scientific Applications:
- Cancer Prognosis Studies: Identify prognostic biomarkers by relating TIME compositions to clinical outcomes and therapy responses.
- Therapeutic Target Identification: Reveal candidate immunotherapy targets by analyzing TIME heterogeneity across cancer types.
- Comparative Oncology Research: Enable comparative analyses across 43 cancer types to identify shared and distinct immune microenvironment patterns.
Methodology:
Uses computational inference methods to derive cell-type compositions from bulk expression profiles generated by microarrays and RNA sequencing.
