TIMSCONVER

TIMSCONVERT converts proprietary timsTOF Pro/fleX trapped ion mobility spectrometry (TIMS) raw data into open formats mzML and imzML to enable integration with downstream proteomics and metabolomics analyses.

Key Features:

  • High-Throughput Data Conversion: Processes large volumes of raw mass spectrometry data from TIMS acquisitions efficiently while preserving core data content.
  • Support for timsTOF Pro/fleX Raw Formats: Accepts proprietary raw files generated by timsTOF Pro and timsTOF fleX instruments.
  • Format Conversion to mzML and imzML: Converts proprietary TIMS data into the open-source mzML and imzML file formats for interoperability.
  • Preservation of Ion Mobility Data: Retains trapped ion mobility (TIMS) measurements during conversion to maintain the analytical value for downstream analyses.

Scientific Applications:

  • Proteomics: Enables incorporation of TIMS-resolved spectra into proteomics identification and quantification workflows.
  • Metabolomics: Facilitates TIMS-aware metabolomics analyses by providing open-format data compatible with metabolomics tools.
  • Integration with Open-Source Tools: Allows use of open-source software for analysis, visualization, and interpretation of TIMS-derived datasets.

Methodology:

Performs systematic conversion of proprietary timsTOF Pro/fleX raw data into mzML and imzML while preserving trapped ion mobility (TIMS) information.
