TripLexicon
TripLexicon predicts and analyzes gene regulatory RNA:DNA:DNA triplex interactions in human and mouse.
Key Features:
- Multi-perspective query system: Predicted interactions can be accessed from RNA-centric, DNA-centric, and region-centric perspectives.
- Genome and nucleotide resolution visualizations: For each RNA transcript, visualizations are available at genome and nucleotide resolution, showing target genes and regions as well as putative functional domains of the transcript.
- Functional enrichment analysis: Predicted target genes can immediately be subjected to ontology and pathway enrichment analysis.
- DNA and region query functionality: DNA and region queries identify potentially important ncRNA interactors at sites of interest.
Scientific Applications:
- Gene regulatory RNA-DNA interaction prediction: TripLexicon enables computational prediction of RNA:DNA:DNA triplex formation from nucleotide sequences at gene regulatory elements.
- ncRNA functional characterization: The platform provides rapid insight into potential functions mediated by the RNA-DNA interactions of queried transcripts through target gene analysis.
- Identification of ncRNA interactors at regulatory sites: DNA and region queries support discovery of potentially important ncRNA interactors at specific sites of interest.
Methodology:
TripLexicon utilizes the TriplexAligner tool for prediction of RNA:DNA:DNA triplex interactions.
