Umabs-DB provides a curated database of approved antibody therapeutics with sequence, indication, target, patent, and clinical-trial annotations to support analysis of the antibody therapeutic landscape.


Key Features:

  • Comprehensive Data Collection: As of June 30, 2022, the database compiles information on 162 antibody therapies approved by at least one regulatory agency worldwide, including regional counts for the US (122), Europe (114), Japan (82), and China (73).
  • Sequence and Annotation Coverage: Includes sequence data and annotations for indication, molecular target, patent information, and clinical-trial records for the included therapies.
  • Exclusion Criteria: Statistics explicitly exclude biosimilar, diagnostic, and veterinary antibodies.
  • Antibody Formats: Categorizes approved therapies into formats with counts: 115 canonical antibodies, 14 antibody-drug conjugates, 7 bispecific antibodies, 8 antibody fragments, 3 radiolabeled antibodies, 1 antibody-conjugate immunotoxin, 2 immunoconjugates, and 12 Fc-Fusion proteins.
  • Targets: Identifies 91 drug targets across the dataset and notes PD-1 as the most prominent target, present in 14 approved antibody-based blockades for cancer treatment.
