UniProtExtractR extracts protein-specific information from UniProtKB to retrieve and categorize annotated features for downstream bioinformatics analyses.
Key Features:
- Data extraction across nine categories: Extracts information from UniProtKB entries for DNA binding, Pathway, Transmembrane regions, Signal peptides, Protein families, Domains [FT], Motifs, Involvement in disease, and Subcellular location [CC].
- Frequency table summaries: Produces frequency tables that summarize original UniProtKB input queries and the extracted or modified entry values.
- Custom organelle-level resolution mapping: Implements a tractable mapping algorithm that enables definition of custom organelle-level resolution for subcellular localization data.
