ViBiBa
ViBiBa harmonizes and integrates decentralized liquid biopsy (LB) specimen inventories and circulating tumor cell (CTC) metadata across multicenter clinical trials, including the DETECT clinical CTC trials, to enable standardized translational analyses.
Key Features:
- Data harmonization and integration: Processes heterogeneous, non-standardized source data by automatically checking and merging records into a unified databank.
- Multilayered searchable database: Creates a multilayered, searchable database that enables extraction of clinically relevant patient cohorts and CTC sample collections.
- Decentralized sample management and tracking: Records and coordinates decentralized LB specimen storage and CTC sample metadata across multiple centers.
- Automated validation and consistency checks: Performs automated data processing and validation to ensure consistency and reliability of integrated datasets.
Scientific Applications:
- Clinical trial sample coordination: Supports multicenter clinical trial workflows by harmonizing CTC and LB sample inventories for cohort selection and downstream analysis.
- Translational CTC research: Enables translational studies of circulating tumor cells in breast cancer and other cancers where CTCs serve as biomarkers.
- Aggregated analysis under low CTC prevalence: Facilitates meaningful analyses across distributed datasets to address low CTC positivity rates and low cell counts.
Methodology:
Automated processing that checks, validates, and merges heterogeneous non-standardized source data into a multilayered centralized databank supporting searchable cohort and sample extraction.
