The Virus Infectious Disease Ontology (VIDO) is an extension of the Infectious Disease Ontology (IDO) and covers epidemiology, classification, pathogenesis, and treatment of viral infectious diseases. It utilizes the Basic Formal Ontology and is designed for interoperability within the infectious disease domain.
