IMGT DomainDisplay

IMGT DomainDisplay displays amino acid sequences of variable (V), constant (C), and groove (G) domains from immunoglobulins (IGs or antibodies), T cell receptors (TRs), major histocompatibility (MH) proteins and related superfamilies to support immunogenetics and immunoinformatics analyses.

Key Features:

  • Domain Display: Displays amino acid sequences of V, C and G domains for IGs, TRs, MH proteins and related superfamilies.
  • IMGT-ONTOLOGY framework: Implements IMGT-ONTOLOGY axioms and concepts including standardized keywords, labels, nomenclature, unique numbering and the IMGT Colliers de Perles (numerotation) method.
  • Integration with IMGT resources: Integrates with seven IMGT databases, 17 online tools and the broader IMGT resource corpus to support analysis of genomic and expressed IG and TR repertoires.
  • High-throughput data analysis: Accommodates next-generation sequencing (NGS) data for large-scale immunogenetic datasets.
  • Therapeutic antibody interface: Provides interfaces with IMGT/mAb-DB to support analysis related to therapeutic antibodies and fusion proteins.

Scientific Applications:

  • Basic Research: Characterizing the genetic and functional diversity of immune receptors including IG and TR repertoires.
  • Veterinary and Medical Research: Comparative and disease-related studies across veterinary and medical immunology.
  • Clinical Applications: Mutation analysis in conditions such as leukemia and lymphoma to inform disease mechanisms.
  • Antibody Engineering and Humanization: Support for engineering and humanization of therapeutic antibodies and fusion proteins for immunological applications (FPIA).
  • Therapeutic Antibodies Research: Supporting research and development of therapeutic antibodies via the IMGT/mAb-DB interface.

Methodology:

Displays amino acid domain sequences and applies IMGT-ONTOLOGY concepts (standardized keywords, labels, nomenclature, unique numbering, IMGT Colliers de Perles); integrates data from IMGT databases and tools and accommodates next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.
