IMGT mAb-DB

IMGT mAb-DB provides a curated repository of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), immunoglobulins (IGs), fusion proteins for immune applications (FPIAs), and composite proteins for clinical applications (CPAs), enabling standardized sequence, numbering and structure-based analysis for immunogenetics and immunoinformatics research.

Key Features:

  • Specialized Data Repository: Focuses on therapeutic antibodies and fusion proteins and records standardized nomenclature and classification for these molecules.
  • Integration with Structural Databases: Links sequence entries to IMGT/2Dstructure-DB and IMGT/3Dstructure-DB for combined sequence and structural information.
  • Standardized Framework: Implements IMGT-ONTOLOGY with standardized keywords, labels, nomenclature, unique numbering systems and the IMGT Colliers de Perles (numerotation) for precise classification and annotation.
  • Comprehensive Analytical Support: Supports mutation analysis in leukemia and lymphoma, antibody engineering and humanization, and the analysis of genomic and expressed IG and TR repertoires including next-generation sequencing (NGS) high-throughput data.

Scientific Applications:

  • Basic and Veterinary Research: Provides annotated IG and mAb data for comparative and mechanistic studies in basic and veterinary immunology.
  • Antibody Engineering: Supplies standardized sequence and numbering information used in design, optimization and humanization of therapeutic antibodies.
  • Clinical Diagnostics and Treatment: Enables mutation analysis relevant to hematological malignancies such as leukemia and lymphoma.
  • Immunogenetic Studies: Supports analysis of genomic and expressed IG and TR repertoires for studies of adaptive immune responses.

Methodology:

Uses IMGT-ONTOLOGY-based annotation with standardized keywords, labels, nomenclature, unique numbering and IMGT Colliers de Perles; integrates sequence data with IMGT/2Dstructure-DB and IMGT/3Dstructure-DB and incorporates NGS high-throughput sequence data for sequence and 3D-structure analyses.
