WheatIS provides unified indexing and integration of wheat genomic, genetic, phenomic, and related datasets and analysis tools to support discovery and breeding research.

Key Features:

• Centralized data indexing: Indexes genome sequences, physical maps, sequence variations, gene expression profiles, and genetic and phenomic data from wheat and related species.
• Tool integration: Integrates genome browsers, BLAST, and InterMine for exploration of the bread wheat reference genome sequence and associated datasets.
• Cross-resource linking: Connects indexed datasets with resources stored within the GnpIS information system and other international collaborative project datasets.
• Data discovery: Implements searchable indexing to enable retrieval of diverse wheat genomics and phenomics datasets.

Search functionality is implemented using DataDiscovery; datasets (genome sequences, physical maps, sequence variations, gene expression profiles, genetic and phenomic data) are indexed and linked with genome browsers, BLAST, InterMine, and datasets stored in the GnpIS information system.
