AIM

AIM is a software tool that has been developed to help researchers understand the functional relationships between proteins in the Arabidopsis interactome. It provides a comprehensive database containing almost 250,000 modules that have been generated using multiple analysis methods and integration of microarray expression data. These modules are well annotated using multiple gene function knowledge databases, allowing users to search for specific types of modules and retrieve relevant information.

One of the key features of AIM is its user-friendly interface, which provides an easy-to-use graphical viewer for displaying module networks linked to the enrichment annotation terms. This allows researchers to visualize the interactions between proteins and gain a better understanding of how they work together. In addition, the software tool also integrates both interactive Venn diagrams and power graph viewers, making it easy for users to compare modules and identify similarities and differences between them.

Another important aspect of AIM is its predicted interologs from other plant species, which are available for each Arabidopsis module. These interologs refer to homologous proteins from different species that share a conserved interaction module. This feature enables researchers to compare and contrast protein interactions across different plant species, potentially leading to new insights into protein function.
