ConsensusClusterPlus

"ConsensusClusterPlus" is an R package designed to enhance the process of unsupervised class discovery, particularly within cancer research. This methodology is critical when exploring intrinsic groups within datasets that share biological characteristics but are not predefined. Building on the foundational consensus clustering (CC) method, which provides quantitative and visual stability evidence to estimate the number of classes in a dataset, ConsensusClusterPlus introduces additional functionalities and visualizations to enrich the analysis.

Key enhancements include item tracking, item-consensus, and cluster-consensus plots, offering detailed insights into the clustering process. These features empower users to make more informed decisions regarding identifying and interpreting unsupervised classes, facilitating a deeper understanding of the underlying biological diversity.
