FamAgg
"FamAgg" is an R package to facilitate the analysis of familial aggregation of complex traits within large pedigrees. This tool fills a crucial gap in the genetic analysis of diseases by offering established and newly developed methods for assessing the genetic underpinnings of diseases through familial clustering. The package enables researchers to compute measures of trait aggregation at both the family and individual levels, which can significantly aid in selecting families for in-depth genetic studies.
FamAgg's utility is showcased through its application to a comprehensive cancer dataset involving over 20,000 participants spread across approximately 400 families.
