FlowKit

FlowKit is a novel Python package designed to address the growing challenge of integrating the expertise of domain specialists with the advanced capabilities of quantitative data analysis in the field of cytometry. Recognizing the limitations imposed by the widespread use of traditional analysis software like FlowJo—especially in the context of the increasing complexity of cytometry data—FlowKit offers a solution that enhances collaboration and leverages the full potential of Single Cell Data Science algorithms.

As a Gating-ML 2.0-compliant tool, FlowKit facilitates the seamless reading and writing of FCS files and FlowJo workspaces, enabling a smooth exchange of data and insights between domain experts accustomed to traditional cytometry analysis methods and quantitative analysts proficient in advanced computational techniques. This interoperability bridges the gap between different expertise levels and optimizes the workflow for cytometry data analysis by allowing for the construction of automated reporting and analysis workflows. Furthermore, FlowKit supports the round-tripping of results to and from FlowJo, fostering a collaborative environment where domain and quantitative experts can jointly contribute to the analysis, validation, and interpretation of cytometry data.
