GIST
GIST is a software tool that provides a user-friendly platform for predicting Genomic Islands (GIs) which are regions of the genome that are originally from other organisms through Horizontal Gene Transfer (HGT). The software package includes five commonly used tools and an optimization program that ensembles the result of existing tools for more accurate prediction. GIST can be used either separately or sequentially, and it includes a downloadable feature that facilitates collecting the input genomes automatically from the FTP server of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).
