GMATo
GMATo is a tool for mining simple sequence repeats (SSRs), also known as microsatellites, in large genomes. It is faster and more accurate than existing tools, SSR Locator and MISA, and can process long DNA sequences by chunking them into short segments and searching for motifs using Perl pattern matching function. The tool generates statistics and provides output files in tabular format that list all SSR loci information and statistical distribution at four classifications. GMATo has both graphic and command-line interfaces.
