GWASTools
"GWASTools" is an R package designed to enhance Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) quality control and analysis process. This tool integrates R's extensive statistical capabilities and interactive nature with the specific demands of GWAS data analysis. Recognizing the challenge of handling the vast datasets typical in GWAS, which often exceed R's memory capacity, GWASTools employs the NetCDF format for data storage. This approach facilitates the management of massive datasets, ensuring efficient data processing and analysis.
In addition to addressing data size challenges, GWASTools simplifies researchers' workflows by providing comprehensive documentation that includes guidance on data conversion from a variety of formats, including sequencing-derived variants. The package also offers a user-friendly interface for correlating genotype and intensity data with annotations for samples and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), streamlining the data analysis process.
