HiTC

The "HiTC" software tool is an R package for exploring and analyzing high-throughput 3C-based (chromosome conformation capture) data. This powerful package supports a range of functionalities, including importing and exporting 'C' data, performing transformations, normalizations, annotations, and visualizing interaction maps. By operating within the Bioconductor ecosystem, HiTC leverages the extensive statistical and bioinformatics tools available through Bioconductor and opens up avenues for future development and integration with other tools in the field.

HiTC addresses the growing need for specialized computational resources capable of handling the complexity and volume of data generated by 3C-based technologies. These technologies, which reveal the three-dimensional architecture of genomes, require sophisticated analytical tools to fully understand the spatial relationships and interactions between different genomic regions.
