IsomiR_Find
IsomiR_Find is a software tool that identifies disease or phenotype-related SNPs and isomiRs in individuals. The tool uses an approach that combines SNP information from the 1000 Genomes Project with individual miRNA sequencing data. The process involves the following steps:
1. Extracting SNP information from the 1000 Genomes Project.
2. Mapping SNPs to pre-miRNAs based on whole-genome coordinates.
3. Constructing SNP-pre-miRNA sequences.
4. Matpred2, another software tool developed by the authors, is used to identify the four splicing sites of mature miRNAs.
5. Identifying isomiRs based on the splicing sites.
6. Verifying the identified isomiRs by searching within individual miRNA sequencing data.
