KEGGanim

'KEGGanim' is a web-based tool that enables researchers to visualize experimental data in biological pathways. The software tool has been designed to produce animations and images of KEGG pathways using high-throughput data, which can be either public or user uploaded. The pathway members are colored according to experimental measurements and then animated over experimental conditions, allowing the researchers to observe dynamic changes over time. The tool is particularly useful for detecting important modules and key genes that influence the pathway. One of the main advantages of KEGGanim is its simple user interface that provides options for filtering genes and experimental conditions. Researchers can easily upload and visualize their data with the tool, regardless of whether it is public or private. The tool can be used with the most common gene and protein identifiers and microarray probesets for visualization input. Additionally, the software tool can be used with an extensive collection of public microarray data that is readily available.
