Kvik

Kvik is an open-source framework designed for exploratory analysis of functional genomics data from large epidemiological studies. Kvik Pathways is an application built using Kvik, which facilitates the exploration of gene expression data in the context of biological pathways. The application uses a three-tier architecture for statistical analyses and metadata retrieval, and has been used to analyze data from both a cross-sectional study and a case-control study within the Norwegian Women and Cancer cohort. The Kvik Pathways application was specifically used to explore gene expression data in healthy women with high and low plasma ratios of essential fatty acids.
