MIRMMR
MIRMMR is a software tool that has been developed to predict microsatellite instability status in cancer samples using methylation and mutation information, as opposed to existing methods that rely on observed microsatellites. This innovative approach is highly advantageous, as it allows for a more accurate and detailed analysis of genetic alterations that contribute to microsatellite instability.
The software tool provides an efficient and reliable way to identify genetic alterations that can lead to the development of cancer, which can be highly useful in the field of bioinformatics. MIRMMR's implementation is based on R and is supported on Unix/OS X operating systems.
In addition to its primary function, MIRMMR highlights the genetic alterations contributing to microsatellite instability, which can provide useful insights into cancer development. The tool's supplementary data are available at Bioinformatics online, allowing users to easily access and analyze the data.
