MOM
MOM (Maximum Oligonucleotide Mapping) is designed to map short reads that contain multiple sequencing errors at both ends, using the concept of query matching to capture a maximal length match within the short read. Compared to existing programs like SOAP, MAQ, and SHRiMP, MOM achieves greater sensitivity and a higher percentage of uniquely mapped reads.
