MPP
MPP is a Java application that uses new and existing algorithms to analyze gene and marker content data from high-throughput microarray experiments. It can be used to detect the presence or absence of genes or markers in a genome, construct gene or marker content datasets for multiple genomes, and build evolutionary trees or networks. Additionally, gene content analysis can be validated by comparing the results to known gene contents. Initially developed to analyze data from CGH microarray experiments in fungi and bacteria, MPP was recently adapted to analyze marker scores from TAM experiments in peas. It is easy to add new analytical procedures to MPP as plugins, which expands the softwares capabilities.
