MVQTLCIM

MVQTLCIM is a software tool for QTL mapping multivariate or longitudinal traits in outbred F1 populations of forest trees. It extends the traditional composite interval mapping (CIM) method to handle multiple traits simultaneously. The tool incorporates various segregation patterns and linkage phases of molecular markers commonly found in forest tree populations. Additionally, it employs Takeuchi's information criterion (TIC) to determine the most likely QTL segregation type among several possible alternatives. MVQTLCIM enables researchers to identify QTLs associated with multiple traits or traits measured over time in F1 hybrid populations, taking advantage of the high-density genetic linkage maps that can be constructed using cost-effective next-generation sequencing technologies.
