MaGelLAn

MaGelLAn (Maternal Genealogy Lineage Analyser) is a pedigree data analysis and processing software tool for maternal lineage and mitochondrial DNA. The MaGelLAn algorithm has functions for sampling strategy optimization, identification, correcting inconsistencies in pedigrees, identifying maternal lineages, assigning mitochondrial sequences to each individual within a pedigree, quantitative genetics association analyses, computation of effective populations sizes, and assignment of mitochondrial genome probabilities.

The documentation is in the software package.
