MetTailor

MetTailor is a software package for preprocessing untargeted metabolomics data, which involves accurate peak alignment and reliable intensity normalization. The package features two novel data preprocessing steps, including a dynamic block summarization method for correcting misalignments and a flexible intensity normalization procedure that adjusts normalizing factors against the temporal variations in total ion chromatogram. MetTailor was evaluated using a curated metabolomics dataset and a large-scale dataset featuring over 100 sera samples in a primary Dengue infection study, demonstrating its effectiveness in correcting misaligned peaks and removing visible local variations in TIC.
