MiRaGE

"MiRaGE" (MiRNA Ranking by Gene Expression) is a bioinformatics tool designed to elucidate the regulatory roles of microRNAs (miRNAs) in various biological processes, mainly focusing on how they influence gene expression profiles. MiRNAs are crucial regulators of cellular activities such as growth, differentiation, and development, making identifying significant miRNAs in specific biological contexts a key research goal.

Unlike many existing bioinformatics tools, MiRaGE does not require prior array normalization, simplifying the analysis process. By analyzing changes in gene expression profiles, MiRaGE can infer the regulatory impact of specific miRNAs on gene expression. This capability allows researchers to pinpoint miRNAs that may play pivotal roles in the process under study without the need for extensive data preprocessing.
