NPBSS
NPBSS is a PacBio sequencing simulator developed to produce continuous long reads (CLR) that match the quality of raw PacBio datasets. The simulator uses an empirical model to compute the overall error probability of each base in the read sequence and calculates deletion, substitution, and insertion probabilities to generate the PacBio CLR reads. The simulator is shown to fit the error rate of PacBio CLR reads better than other simulators, such as PBSIM and FASTQSim. The NPBSS simulator is efficient, easy to use, and has flexible parameter settings.
