PHESANT
PHESANT (PHEnome Scan ANalysis Tool) is a software package that automates comprehensive phenome scans in the UK Biobank, a large-scale epidemiological cohort. Phenome scans involve testing the association of a specific trait with a wide range of phenotypes, which can be challenging due to the heterogeneity of the models required.
Key features of PHESANT include:
1. Ability to test the association of a specified trait with all continuous, integer, and categorical variables in UK Biobank or a selected subset.
2. A novel rule-based algorithm that determines the appropriate test for each trait, ensuring a consistent and automated analysis process.
3. Automatic generation of plots and summary tables to present the phenome scan results.
