PeptideLocator
PeptideLocator is a machine learning tool for predicting functional peptides in a protein sequence. It achieved an area under the curve of 0.92 when tested on a set of 2202 redundancy-reduced peptide-containing protein sequences. The tool can predict bioactive peptides in various types of peptides, including antimicrobial peptides, cytokines, growth factors, peptide hormones, toxins, and venoms. PeptideLocator can assist in refining the choice of experimental investigations in functional studies of proteins.
