Photizo

Photizo is an open-source Python library designed to facilitate the analysis of large datasets generated by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) microspectroscopy. This tool addresses the limitations of current software in handling joint analysis of multiple samples and computationally intensive tasks for large datasets.

Key features of Photizo include:

1. High-throughput spectral data pre-processing: Photizo enables efficient pre-processing of large spectral datasets, preparing them for further analysis.

2. Visualization: The library provides tools for visualizing spectral data, aiding in data interpretation and exploration.

3. Downstream analysis: Photizo offers a range of analytical techniques, such as principal component analysis, clustering, macromolecular quantification, and mapping, which are essential for extracting meaningful information from the spectral data.

4. Versatility: The library can handle both spatially resolved data obtained through scanning mode IR microspectroscopy and IR imaging by focal plane array detector, as well as data without a spatial component.
