RedeR
"RedeR" is a software package to bridge the technological gap in the visualization and analysis of molecular networks, mainly focusing on the complexity arising from multiple network levels or hierarchies inherent in biological systems. Combining an R/Bioconductor package with a Java core engine, RedeR excels in representing modular networks, offering researchers a robust tool for exploring the intricate hierarchical and modular organization within gene co-expression networks, as well as nested structures in time-course gene expression subnetworks.
RedeR showcases its capacity to handle and elucidate the hierarchical organization and modular constructs within biological networks through two illustrative scenarios. It provides insights into the dynamic interactions and structural dependencies that define complex biological processes. This dual approach leverages the statistical and analytical power of R and the dynamic visualization capabilities of Java, facilitating a comprehensive analysis and interpretation of molecular networks.
