TCGAbiolinksGUI

TCGAbiolinksGUI is a R/Bioconductor package designed to address the complex bioinformatics challenges that arise when working with large-scale cancer genomics data, specifically data from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). TCGA has made available an extensive collection of clinical and molecular phenotypes of over 10,000 tumor patients across 33 types. TCGAbiolinksGUI aims to facilitate the retrieval and integration of this data with clinical and other molecular data types, such as RNA and DNA methylation, through a guided workflow combining computer science and statistical methods.

With the TCGAbiolinksGUI package, users can easily query, download, and perform integrative analyses of TCGA data, accelerating novel discoveries in cancer genomics research. The tool includes case studies on four different TCGA tumor types, including Kidney, Brain, Breast, and Colon, to illustrate real-world examples of reproducibility, and integrative analysis.
